| The deviation value at each tide gauge location is the monthly mean sea level minus the 1993 to 1995 mean sea level. Sea level has been corrected for the inverse barometer effect using atmospheric pressure obtained from the Climate Analysis Center. Contour lines are obtained from the near-real time Topex altimeter analysis. The altimeter data are processed in the same manner as the tide gauge data. |
